Inspector General of Registration  Law Secretary in Ex-Officio capacityHead of Registration Department for the whole of the State of Goa. Supervisory and controlling Authority under Registration Act, 1908; Competent Authority to order remittance of fees under Registration Act, 1908  
a) State Registrar-cum-Head of Notary Services   Head of Offices; appointing authority for Non-Gazetted Staff; Disciplinary Authority for Non-Gazetted Staff;, Competent Authority to sanction leave, Appointment, Promotion, transfers; administrative Head with enhanced powers of Head of Department as indicated in Part I and Part II of Annexure VI to the Goa Delegation of Financial Powers Rules 1997; Head of Notary Services, Competent Authority under the Notaries Act, 1952; Approving authority under delegated powers by Law Secretary for correction of marriage records under Article 32; Approving Authority for reconstruction of Birth and Death records (1914-1970), marriage records, partnership records, sub registry records.
b) District Registrar, North Goa District   Head of office; Supervisory control over Sub-Offices of Tiswadi, Bardez, Pernem, Bicholim and Sattari; Appellate Authority under the Registration Act, 1908; Delegated powers of Inspector General of Societies for North Goa District  for Registration of Societies under Societies Registration Act 1860; Processing files of correction of marriage records under Article 32 and of Reconstruction of Birth and Death Records (1914-1970), marriage records, Partnership records, Sub Registry records.
c) District Registrar, South Goa District  Head of office; Supervisory control over Sub-Offices of Salcete, Mormugao, Ponda, Dharbandora, Sanguem, Quepem and Canacona; Appellate Authority under the Registration Act, 1908; Delegated powers of Inspector General of Societies for North Goa District for Registration of Societies under Societies Registration Act 1860. Processing files of correction of marriage records under Article 32 and of Reconstruction of Birth and Death Records (1914-1970), marriage records, Partnership records, Sub Registry records.
